MINIROK ENGINE BULLETIN


Vortex Engine produced a New Model Mini ROK Engine in 2007. Vortex has upgraded both the Cylinder Block Assembly and Cylinder Base(Crank Case). The New Cylinder Block Assembly has a bigger transfer port and the Standard Piston Size is now 41.88(mm). The New Cylinder Base (Crank Case) transfer duct was also increased in dimension to match the transfer port of the cylinder block.


AKOC Scrutineering will permit old Mini Rok Engines to be upgraded to conform to the New Model by:

1.

The change of new model Cylinder Block Assembly.

2.

The change of new model Cylinder Base (Crank Case).

3.

Or the Grinding of the exact size of the oldcylinder base or crank case to conform to the exact size and dimension of the new model.

However no polishing on any part of the engine.

YAMAHA CUP will be included in the AKOC MACAU ROUND this December. There will be a YAMAHA SS JUNIOR and YAMAHA SS SENIOR CATEGORY.

Hong Kong is interested to hold One (1) Round of the ASIAN KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN (AKOC) for 2008. ALEX MUI of Hong Kong Kart Club has announced that they are planning to extend the race track in Hong Kong to comlpy with AKOC's specification.

As per advice by the CIK, the practice for KF1 and KF3 classes will start on THURSDAY, December 13, 2007.

AKOC schedule for WEDNESDAY, December 12, 2007 will be the Registration Day for All Classes, Starting from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Only
